Minor Creases or Indentations in Velvet
Velvet sofas are packaged in protective soft packaging cover and then packaged with cardboard corners and then boxed. The legs if separate are soft packaged inside the sofa boxes.
Packaged goods are handled as various points and although we go to extreme lengths to ensure quality packaging - there is simply no way possible to prevent minor indentations or slight crease lines, 100%. Within the packaging items to do touch each other and simply by doing so in the packaging for a period of time lines or indentations can occur.
Velvet is 100% Polyester and extremely durable and stain resistant with a dense pile that is soft to the touch.
This may seem alarming at first however this is this is not a fault as there is no way transporting these goods without packaging seams and elements within the packaging.
Indents or Creases can be Remedied 100%
The good news is that this is completely removable and fairly easy to do!
After a day or two since your sofa has been unpackaged the marks will begin alleviate on their own just through being out of the packaging and in a warm environment.
Failing this brushing with a spare piece of damp velvet of the same colour can alleviate most of the minor markings if there are any.

Maintenance Advice
Over time, velvet can become crushed and change in appearance slightly, but don’t let that put you off, as there are some simple measures you can take to preserve its softness and alluring appeal. For items of velvet furniture that are facing heavy use, it’s advisable to gently vacuum the fabric with an upholstery attachment at least once a week. Alternatively, you can also use a soft bristled or clothes brush, ensuring to brush in the direction of the nap of the fabric.
Velvet is prone to marking, so be mindful not to leave anything heavy resting on your furniture for too long as this can cause marks and dents. Should this happen, pressure marks can be easily removed through light steaming and brushing the affected area?
To help prevent wrinkles, especially on sofas or armchairs where cushions and covers can be removed, it’s worth turning and shaking them regularly. This will help to avoid any long-term creases which may be more difficult to remove.
